How about a few more associates

Instead of raises they should be trying to hire people. We have close to 30 open positions. Makes every day so much fun.

Marketing Elimination

Michigan is short staffed and managers get paid more than the should. The store is top heavy with management and they are lazy this leave the few employees who do work busting their tail with no raise.

Raises.

The lead raises are great and in many ways they still made several mistakes. No way should the more experienced leads be at the new found minimum pay with the less experience leads. Also how does member team lead and merchandising leads make the same... — read more

Raises

So what’s the catch on all of the lead raises? Eliminating managers? At my store my MSS literally wears sweat pants and the other one is bragging how she’s 24 and makes $18 an hour....good job Sam’s. Here I am a lead with almost 20 years experience... — read more

Raises = NO Severance

So just think about it, they want us to use the feed back from all the sudden for associates and leads not for good feedback but poor performance...not a badge for that! We are to put any little thing in there cell phone usage, not getting audits or... — read more

Is Sam's a better company than it was a year ago?

Is there anybody here who can identify things positive to come out of all the changes that have been implemented in the past year? Anything that you could point to and say, yes this is much better and it's made us a better comp than we were before?

Raises????

When I got the talk from my GM I was told there were no raises with this change. If some remember last summer that all the part timers were getting hours cut because they had to meet labor dollars. HO is just waiting for associates, leads and... — read more

You guys know these raises will come with a price right? There is no way they are just suddenly coming to their sense's and paying for hard work. Things will now just get that much harder. They will get rid of assistant managers and we will not only... — read more

Specifics on Lead raises

Lot of chatter but all over the place. Heard starting pay for all leads is now $18. Others saying Fresh start higher? Some saying Marketing Leads got no raise. Need details.

New Hires starting at higher wages

It is very disappointing to learn that people are being hired in at higher hourly wages than tenured employees doing the same jobs. It's disrespectful and hurtful!!!

Managers

How is it fair that the fresh leads will be making more than some managers?? Also, how about the years of services both leads and managers that have put in.
