Fresh leads making $20+ is horse @#$%

Just heard about ask the fresh leads getting raising putting them above $20 an hour. Not sure about you but that doesn't sit well with me when I'm a 20+year associate and I literally only make a few dollars more then the meat lead wgps been with the company MAYBE 5 years. Which by the easy walks around and always find it convenient to check emails when the department needs meat to be wrapped or chicken to be stocked. then the deli lead is never to be found. He's le the phantom menus. You only here of him from stories but never see him in person. At least until it's close to closing time or of he needs you to do something. I makes me I'll too be stomach to know all the years I put in the company means absolutely nothing at all. They treat you like TP. They use you for what they want and then kick you to the curb. There are hard working associates living paycheck to paycheck having to drop to part time due to work conflicts because their spouse works in the same building who have kids and the "block" scheduling doesn't allow them to come in 30 minutes later or leave 30 minute early. Sad to think that lawyers will have to be brought into this and a class action suite will be what it takes for the creedy higher ups to take notice that what they are doing is wrong!

I for one love the fact that our bakery lead who has been with the company for roughly 2 years is now making $2 more than myself a merchandise lead who has been with the company for 6 years. They deal with the tiny bakery area (not 48 because that belongs to the Grocery lead who is now also a merch lead) meanwhile I have to deal with the entire floor, stocking, carrying keys, resets, audits, cim, front end using my associates for coverage (which is not my area), the list goes on.

But yes please tell me how hard it is to run a small department with numerous associates and not being bothered at all with the frontend. Tell me how deserving it is for the fresh leads to be bumped to $20+ meanwhile the merch leads are left at $18.
