@bb you for the word "legal" before immigrants
@bx you're the reason most of us are getting laid off
@c4 Thread title = Independence Day
Just curious what is WELLS FAGO about?
@bw GO AWAY...THIS IS A WELLS FAGO LAYOFF SITE.
I’m not worried about not getting Friday off. I’m based in India so I get 4 holidays a week. My national holidays my state holidays my city holidays and my neighborhood holidays.
@bm On day one of the previous administration! Rather than critiquing various unreliable fake news outlets you need to open your eyes and admit the obvious. Millions of undocumented, unvetted illegal aliens have flooded across our borders. Are you denying this?
@b8 I made make this into a shirt
This thread has it all. Virtually none of it has to do with the original post. But that is what makes this country (maybe not great but) better than all the other countries. We are a work in progress. You dont have to be smart to post here. You dont have to be civil. You do not even have to make sense to share your opinion or insult those that do. And as much as you may dislike how the party you dont belong to governs, you have to admit this country survived it or will survive it and eventually it will be the other side that is miserable for a couple of years and then it will switch again. In the mean time, try to find a way to appreciate and enjoy where you are at and just be
This is why we're having layoffs in a nutshell.
these types of questions amaze me. are you new to the company? It has always been the case at WF that if the holiday lands on a Saturday you get a floating day, if lands on Sunday they give you Monday. While many companies give you the Friday if it lands on Saturday WF does not. If you want Friday off put in a request for it, you should see an allocation of 8 hours under floating. You should always use your floating holidays and 2 personal holidays early in the year because of you don't and you leave the company you won't get paid for them.
@ax July 4 is a Saturday. You have the day off.
Nobody in the first world is looking at the state of the US in 2026 with envy
India has the day off; Why can’t we?
@ac Yeah, the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are pretty cool, especially the Bill of Rights. What is particularly noteworthy about the Constitution is that the framers recognized that they had blind spots, gaps in historical knowledge, personal biases and prejudices, so they created a Constitution that could be amended to account for these shortcomings. But the problem with the country is not its founding documents, but the alacrity with which we violate or selectively enforce them. Ben Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton et al. would be alarmed by the nation's collective abandonment of reason, skepticism, evidence-based critical reasoning and curiosity in favor of obedience, intellectual dishonesty, unthinking tribalism, and laziness. So while the nation's founding documents are definitely an achievement worth celebrating, our abandonment of the traits that brought them into existence is something to mourn.
American Independence Day on the 4th of July, 250 years ago. was such an amazing achievement at the time that our forefathers, signers of the Declaration of Independence, did not even realize what they had created. The greatest country ever known to mankind and the only one in the world today that the rest of the population on the planet wants to join!
God Bless America!
@a7 Its not a personal holiday, it'll be listed as a floating holiday.
@a2 when does the USA personal holiday PTO balance update? Still shows 0
Huh. I wonder how much vacation department heads are taking?
Markets will have a shorter trading day and close early. Since the markets are technically open, you will have to work unless you take a personal or floating holiday...except for me because I was displaced.
Suspicious for someone so concerned with our independence to be bringing up the Tudors...
Calm down, breathe and actually think.
Is this your first job ever?
When a holiday occurs over the weekend you get a personal holiday.
