My thought is that Sun Microsystems was destroyed because they stuck to channel partners when everything was switching to generic PC's and Linux. If you use channels there's something like 100% margin, and who can carry that these days?

Assuming the rumors about layoffs tomorrow are true, what should we be expecting today? Will managers be scheduling meetings for tomorrow to deliver the news? or will it be different this time given that a may be on a larger scale?

Spoke to my boss. Didn't mention I have 3 job offers. Just told him this stress is killing me and I'm hoping he ends my suffering and just gives me the package. The severance would be very nice right now. I have also maxed out my PTO.

based on Aria there is almost 900 employee in HW alone, not to mention other area that will be impacted. if the layoffs happen as expected this Thursday, I have no idea how Oracle will be under the radar this time.

Eat your heart out LE! SFDC blows past $10bn and past oracle. SFDC has more in real cloud revenues than oracle can manufacture in fake cloud revenues. You're a loser LE!
