Amazing how clueless JF is — he’s disparaged those that were let go and in a lost today on LinkedIn he talked about his appreciation of the Ford “family” of employees — while usually LinkedIn is a forum of suck-up responses people took shots at... — read more
Grumpy Staying is the new Quiet Quitting
Change my mind....
Is it a good thing if no GSRs cut from your dept this round?
Activity already a skeleton crew. Asking for a friend.
How long would it take to get fired?
Fired in the sense its not layoff but based on performance. What is the general timeline/ steps that happen before? 6 months? 1 year? Wondering if its better to just do nothing and study for interviews while collecting paychecks.
Are you expecting alot of people to start leaving?
Seems like everyone is quiet in meetings but I get the impression people are on edge about if they will be around 2 to 3 months from now
My biggest regret.
Is not knowing about the existence of this website sooner! I could have known about these damn layoffs months ago and jumped shipped while I was ahead. I was literally enjoying my job so much I couldn't see the entire building collapsing around... — read more
About to reach 1 year; is it too early to find something else and leave?
I don't realistically see myself being here 2 years down the road even; even if I bust my bu-t, I could still get thrown out. The compensation here is too low anyway even if I stay. I thought it would be a good place for stability but its exactly... — read more

Ford's gotten off track
My personal opinion is that the strategy is completely wrong and will result in an increasing number of issues here. Also related are the constant cuts. Is there any hope that Ford can somehow get back on track?
Rejoining policy post layoff
For those who got affected by the layoff what's the timeline post which one can join Ford again full-time?

After the layoff...
I am very disappointed and not sure if I should look for new opportunities in this industry now or maybe it is better to try outside the industry first?

Confusing and Chaotic Organization - Gift from Consulting companies (BCG, Deloitte, etc)

An Unsettling Betrayal!

I'm trying to make it to retirement

Is a major exodus on the horizon?
Those who have marketable skills will certainly not wait here to get cut but are already sending resumes to get out of this terrible atmosphere. I think there will be a mass departure of people because everyone I know has started job hunting.
