According to their post 2 hours ago, they're hiring for Global Manufacturing Engineers. How infuriating!

@1pkz I know someone qualified, but I sent them to Stellantis’ job openings, because Stellantis created academies to retrain employees with up to date skills, so they don’t have to fire them like Ford does. I would never refer anyone to work at Ford after what Farley has put us through.
What makes you say they were posted to prove they could not be filled in the US? As far as I am aware we are actively hiring for positions across manufacturing, and have been actively encouraged to find qualified candidates. A lot of this work is site dependent and cannot be outsourced. The challenge is finding experienced manufacturing engineers with EV experience, candidates that apply and pass interviews are hired. In fact, if you know people with large scale high speed manufacturing experience point them towards the postings. Problem is a lot of applicants don't have any manufacturing experience, which is fine for a GSR5-6 type position but for 7-8 experience is required.
They may or they may not. Just because this positions are posted doesn't mean they plan to fill them. I saw more than a few that were posted for roles in the US to prove that they can't be filled. Then they were filled with 'low cost sourcing' candidates from another part of the world.
Where any mfg engineers laid off?
The Ford family should be ashamed of what they are doing to the company they inherited.
Ghosting of interviews is common nowadays
Employees nowqdays are aware of such companies and practices
