I miss the continuity with the original engineering teams.

The issue is the engineers in Mexico/India do not know how to launch a forward model program. They only know how to "try" and maintain a program. The problem is that in a few years all the engineers in the US who know what to do will be gone and no one will be left who can launch a future program. Ford is doomed and I am looking for a non-auto job.
@jdd+1nyTRDrK Physician pay is already pretty lackluster (relative to the hours worked and schooling cost) due to insurance companies and malpractice insurance. You can try to blame the government but the private market has failed us.
I meant to type,
… The money you spend for health insurance or other care should come off of the top of your income as a deduction. 100%
Then there’s no need for employers or the government to be involved in your healthcare and give it to you as a tax-free “benefit.

Then, we need to cut off countries that manipulate their currencies and markets. We don’t need to import their corruption.
This is why Ford needs to LOWER salaries and ELIMINATE health insurance as soon as possible.
We will never be able to keep jobs in the USA if the workforce expects to be paid so much. If we pay them less, we can keep jobs here.
And health insurance should be the responsibility of the individual. The company does not owe anybody anything.
If you read the history books you will see how strong this company was when Henry Ford ran things. He worked people to brink, kept unions out at all costs, and paid zero health insurance costs.
@qse+1nyTRDrK Employees are short term in those LCC. It's rare to see someone stay longer than 3 years.
As for low cost, I would assume it’s to our ecstatic coworkers from Mexico. But “short term”, don’t bet on it.
