Thread regarding Ford layoffs

Can someone explain the performance management process here?

How do we get ranked?

I just keep getting told im doing okay but haven't been told im doing badly.

I find it confusing to know where I stand

I was basically blo#n today in a meeting today for contributions, zero expectations of having a job in the future.

Did you get 100% of your AICP and not HTHD? If so, you are good.

I was never told I was doing poorly. In fact, I got a raise last year because I was deemed a “High-Tech High Demand” employee.

Didn’t help. I got the boot last week.

The performance system is unfortunately largely up to your immediate management. This means some do an excellent job of having ongoing conversations, updating objectives and outlining expectations. Unfortunately others do not engage in the system at all. If you have a supervisor/manager that does not engage in the process I would recommend you create what seems to you a good set of objectives, fill out a quarterly conversation form on HCM and schedule a follow-up with you supervisor. This will force the issue and feedback process. Good luck!

Just like getting promoted it's a joke and it's rigged. PRs are meaningless as are the words that come out of your supervisors and managers mouths. The system is in place to cull the high earners from the herd.

Just sue them

Performance management is an excuse for getting rid of people, so better to get rid of performance review before they get rid of you
