the next fnv platform is already delayed to an extent that its a sh-t show. with so many people let go it likely that work will be subpar and terrible software. next gen bev is counting on this platform and I don't see how we launch anything in time with cr-p software

Electric vehicles have been around a long time. Over 100 years. Probably longer than Ford.
The problem has aways been the batteries.

EVs will be profitable in 2223. Until then don’t hold your breath. Can you name me a 300yo car mfg? You should create a model Phev dept bc you sell more of those. Bank your future on phev.

Didn’t see the sentence that next generation Ford BEV will be profitable.
Let’s keep this conversation and rethink in 4 years.

Glad I am not model e. Bonus formula based on bev volume and surely below plan. Also bunny face only significant change has been to change mach e mode name from Unbridled/ unbridled Extend to unbridle / unbridle extended.
Great to focus on improving the vehicle for improved customer experience.

Doug Fields? The guy who couldn't finish a vehicle at Apple, but complains to employees in California, that "I don't understand, it is not that complicated".....great.

This will change significantly when our next-gen BEV vehicles which are developed under Model e are release to the public. Not only will the vehicles themselves make Mach-E and Lightning look and perform outdated, the next-gen of the available data/feature services will delight customers to a new level. I for one cannot wait! Don't forget that the BEV vehicles on sale now are old technology and not developed under Doug Field's leadership.

In addition to the profits we will see, a bonus will be the usual negative people on this forum eat their words.

It’s not a political position.
EVs are a bad deal.

It's because the country is majority conservative and conservatives don't support EVs.
