To Cisco managers, You don't empower people with proper communication and action. But you still want people to be motivated. You are mediocre, but you want people to be excellent? Employees, be rod-valiant with these kinds of people and colleagues. — read more

5 year Anniversary

What changes upon 5 years at Cisco? Increased PTO or just increased ability to bank PTO? Anything else?

12% drop????

... wiping out 1 year of gains in a day. CSCO is such a stupid stock, doesn't even keep up with S&P growth. I'm holding about 3k stocks and feeling the pain of today's 12% drop 😓

Street surprised about our bad outlook because the rest of tech is recovering. Maybe the problem is us, not the market?!

Region consolidations are coming. A few regions will be parted out and absorbed into other regions. Those RMs and SEMs will be impacted. US Commercial hired new AMs and SAs at lower pay in order to layoff higher paid AMs and SAs.

How many operating systems does Cisco need??

This, my friends, is what's making Cisco rot from the inside. The technical debt is simply too humongous. Just the number of operating systems to maintain is testimony to how clueless the various CTOs have been: IOS-XE, IOS-XR, NXOS, ACI, Ubuntu... — read more

Startup pay >> Cisco??

There are more SE layoffs across direct and architectures coming as part of the Q1 Earnings Announcement and Restructuring. They are going to be mandating C2E due to this which means no pay and career advancement.
