It was a business trip. He went to see if Taylor would perform on the next check in. All business.

Look at 2023 proxy statement page 56:
Aircraft Policy – Our CEO and our other executive officers may occasionally use our corporate aircraft for
personal use, subject to availability, provided they reimburse Cisco for the incremental cost of the flight. Because
the leased corporate aircraft is used primarily for business travel, Cisco requires reimbursement for the
incremental cost of the flight (these costs do not include fixed costs that do not change based on usage).

While I agree with the comments about the ELT and Chuck's behavior, he has plenty of personal money so I doubt Cisco is paying for his ball trip.

A Cisco Super Bowl commercial would be epic. They could spoof Office Space - bring in “The Bobs” and that Naga-Naga-Not-Gonna-Work-Here-Anymore guy

Is this true? I’d like some proof or supporting evidence.

The best way to unsettle customers is to become a shrinking violet. People would rather associate with a confident leader who is 100% wrong than a sheepish leader who actually does the job well.

The Board is excited of the upcoming layoffs and proud of him. This is one of their many rewards to him for his excellent leadership. They are as clueless as everyone on ELT.
The company should walkout like OpenAI employees did.
By being a CEO and on board for a company as Cisco comes a lot of responsibility. They have shown time and time they are self motivated only

How does Board allow a CEO to spend corporate funds when Cisco is on the verge of going into debt for billions of dollars after silly Splunk deal closes in a few months

Sounds about right to me. He must want to de stress from the big announcement he is about to make that will change the lives of thousands of families he and Fran call their family.
This is what happens when you have a Sales person as a CEO. Can't make numbers, fire. No Innovation, no product market fit, no looking ahead 5 years. Want to catch up with competitors, buy companies.

Unlike most other CEO's will do in this situation, he doesn't even bother to pretend he cares about his employees.
