Too many 1:1 s
Massive layoffs in SDWAN DCN
Too many got 1;1 requests
Africa
Anyone in Sub Saharan Africa impacted Terrible and sad news this morning
All organisation is impacted
My all global organization was impacted. The one that was taking care of employees' well-being. I was laid off a second time in 6 months( was rehired to a new position previously). It's time to move and don't come back.
Profitable companies doing layoffs
With BILLIONS in annual profit, laying off doesn't make sense.
Here's my separation package
My last day of employment is 2 months from today on April 15. Then 4 months of pay (80% of total comp). I"'m in sales so commission plays a factor in my total comp. Plus 4 months of Cobra. So in total, it's a 6-month package.
Cisco is just another victim of corporate degenerative disease
It has become like almost every other bigger company in the corporate US: bloated, vision-less, not about the actual innovation and production, not about services or clients, more of a commodity than company, just a means to an end - getting as much... — read more
I would not take a Cisco offer
Not a real job, cat and mice layoffs g@me sh!t every 3 months. Low life quality or living like a no life
Anybody in China got impacted?
Anybody in GC ?
How much is a package for layoff this time?
How much is a package for layoff this time? How many months equivalent? Which country? Exit Date that was announced?
Stop whining and move on
You should start looking for a new job ASAP, if you have any skills. There are many useless engineers and managers at Cisco and I never figured out how they kept their jobs during my years at Cisco. I worked at Cisco for 16 years and finally was... — read more
Will App D be effected
Do you think folks at app d need to be worried? The numbers look great for observability. Is that Cisco’s high growth area focus?
Best option for Cisco is sell itself to broadcom
No one cares about Cisco business models. It's same cr@p everywhere, same products everyone else have except 3 times more expensive. Cisco not able to innovate anything, no one would be interested in buying into Cisco except probably broadcom.
So Glad I got a better job offer
Was laid off from one Triangle tech company. Went through 4 interviews with Cisco. All extremely positive. Did not hear back for 4 weeks. When finally offered, they said the position had to be move to a contractor position because they just did... — read more
Checked calendar so far 20+ known people received 1:1 meetings in ACI DCN SDWAN
Half them are managers May god help them Never ever become manager in Cisco
restructuring costs
LR count: 4000 Restructuring costs: $800M It shows, $200K per persona laid off. Why son high? JNPR laid off 440 people and restructuring costs show is $58M. This is $125k person. Can anyone explain whether each person LR'ed will get $200k... — read more
Someone show this to Chuck
https://youtu.be/GtK98mAVTfo
Chucky is clown put up for wall Street circus
No one on Wall Street believes what Chucky is saying. Real show goes on after earning on both sides.
Cisco should cut salaries instead of jobs
Focus on innovation Getting into cloud business I sent mail to all ELT members including CEO Cisco should stop giving mid term RSUs and hikes until market recovers. This what NVIDIA , apple and many other companies are doing and remaining all... — read more
Mostly better than expected news
I was pleased with the 5% vs what folks were saying on this site around 10%-20% or higher.
When are notifications happening?
Sounds like it won’t be until after the all hands next week.
Cisco lost the focus on the relevant things
Unfortunately, Cisco is focusing more and more on useless topics such as "diversity & inclusion" instead of shaping the organization efficiently for the future. There are too many useless manager positions, which a lot seem to be created only to... — read more
Get Used to 5K Layoffs Every Quarter
With sales in a free fall, get used to 5K+ layoffs every quarter because Chuck and his side kick Scott said they will manage expenses down as revenues continue to decline
Cisco's best days are gone years ago
We have become a joke in Silicon Valley. The executives get fatter (both financially and in their waist lines) driving the company into the ground. There does not seem to be any accountability for this kind of performance. Why is Chuck Robbins... — read more
Money goes to security and Cisco observability.
Cisco is a software company now. Hardware is just not profitable anymore
LR allocated fund $800 millions, 5% reduction equals to $200K each
Simple math, $800m / ~4000 = Approx $200K per LRed employee. You can easily break it down further with numbers of months in pay, and benefits etc. $800m allocation this time is larger than previous LR allocate of $600m. That means larger LR... — read more
So it’s gonna be roughly 4250 people
I just hope it will all be over soon. Good luck to all affected.
Chuckie Babbling On Earnings Call And Analysts Not Buying It
Chuck rambles on and on about what his team provided in forecasts and how those did not play out. Like he has no idea other than what he reads in my reports.
What security
Cisco sits at 3% growth while the real security players are CRUSHING it...
Executive Q&A Reaction Thread
Thoughts?
Don't forget about silent layoffs happing every week
They do not need to report silent layoffs happening every week. What about forcing people out on a PIP, also not counted as LR.
wall street apparently doesn't care about ARR/RPO
subscriptions up 5% y/y, ARR up 6%, RPO up 12% after-hours down ~5%, despite increased dividend of 3% why? because total revenue is down. investors only care about growth...

Why is ELT is not transparent?
Employees were told by accepting the shutdown the week of July 4th would significantly help lower the number of those impacted. ELT never attached a number when feeding us that garbage. July 4th shutdown never was going to save any jobs. Shutdown... — read more
