Thoughts?
What’s the tea on the Lone Tree, Denver office?
Is this Schwab location one of the “safe” zones? Are you all still going to be working in the office a few days per week?

SWA
does anyone have any thoughts on WA, AWA, or the SWA service team being impacted by the layoffs?
COBRA
I’m the event of a layoff and you find yourself using COBRA for insurance, if you have an HSA account, you can utilize the HSA account to pay the premium(s) as it’s considered a qualifying event & expense (tax free no penalty). Putting that out... — read more

Please be ready (for whatever happens)
Changing gears, because a lot of discontent is being thrown around here and although i dont agree with what is going on with the org, i have spent the last few years helping my peers out whenever i get the chance. TLDR version: be ready for anything... — read more

Fake jobs postings
So many supposed job openings are not that. I've seen some during my job search that have been up for six months (and that's just since I started looking). Don't tell me it's taking that long to find an auditor with so many people applying! Why do... — read more
How many of us getting laid off?
Anyone know how many of us are going to be laid off? I'm guessing 10%
Now What?
All of you blowhards that were saying the week of 9/18...what say you now? Bring on your next out of your a-s prediction.
MD stepped down
My Managing Director suddenly abandoned their position and returned to a previous role at Schwab. I assume they had a heads up and did what was needed to stay with the company. Not much communication within the team… head in the sand. This... — read more
No More Wireless Headsets
Does anyone else think it’s weird how we switched to a phone system that does not work with wireless headsets? They want to keep the worker bees tied to their desks at all costs!
October right?
A lot of signs are pointing to October. Some posts here say 17 October however I’ve seen it closer to the first week. In a couple meetings about planning we were informed to “avoid” scheduling anything for the start of October So.. let’s see... — read more

Anybody else bored stiff?

Company Dress Code

Wrongful Termination
Why are phone reps getting fired for turning off surveys? I know so many managers that have told this to their reps over the years. Seems unfair and illegal to get terminated for what management told you to do. “If you know you’re going to get a bad... — read more
By October 30 to meet WARN
Latest I heard is that layoffs are more likely in October to meet the year-end deadline and the WARN 60 day notice. Plus, with the push of RTO from October 1 to January seems to align to this rumor. We will be in limbo another month.
HR is imploding

How does relocation work?

jw: severance no longer works I have it bookmarked - once you are on a 60 day notice period - DO NOT TELL ANYONE YOU GOT ANOTHER JOB, else they will not pay out severance
Layoffs 09/19.

FOMC Meeting 9/19
Just wanted to check everyone’s thoughts since some posts suggest that this week May be the week layoffs will occur. FOMC meeting is 9/19th. Do you think layoffs will really occur same week of FOMC meeting? Yay or nah? My thoughts is that it... — read more
Not Today Satan
Guess all the 9/18 projections were wrong. Enjoy another few weeks in purgatory. Mounting Schwab related bad press in the news the past few days as well. This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

Curiouser & Curiouser
Telltale information is changing in Schwab’s internal systems for high ranking employees. It looks as though the wheels of the great reassignment are indeed in motion. 👀👀👀👀👀👀
