Call center tech support getting layoffs

So they let a lot go at Huntsville call center, anyone know when they are moving to the Tulsa center to let people go. I know my tl has an ops review this Friday. I'm wondering if they are discussing the people to be cut.

Why there is no Media coverage of this round of cuts?

I am perplexed? Is AT&T in cahoots with major medial outlets? There is no coverage at all, try searching for news, there is not a single article covering this round of cuts even though they seem to be fairly large and affect many folks and locations... — read more

How do they do it?

I have a couple of questions, and hopefully can get some info from here (since upper management seems to be mute). How are the calls scheduled? Do you get verbal notification, a call, or an email? Also, if someone doesn't have a call scheduled does... — read more

Debt and more deb

What’s changed at ATT? They no longer even try to invent the Next Big Thing. Instead, they buy it, using their multi-billion-dollar cash hoards, to increase the next quarter’s profits, and the bonus payouts, layoffs, and cheap labor. When interest... — read more

We have been told our COR store is up for review at the first of the month, and now on real time sales is showing all of the RSCs AND "Shop and Go ####." Is this a sign that we are going agent?

You will find a way!

Relax folks... it's not the end of the world. Millions before you have survived this very same thing, including me. I had 22 years at Nortel and was laid off with no severance because they filed bankruptcy. Top level management was as corrupt as the... — read more

Security

Why did AT&T hire more security guards? We were notified via a meeting today.

Oh, well...

On the nonmgmt end the worst part is seeing people sitting up there with 40-50 years service who won't retire because they are taking care of grown kids & grandkids The people that have less than 15 years are being let go. It's sad that I am 45 and... — read more

Class Action Lawsuit

As poorly as this Surplus has been handled, a Class Action Lawsuit is very winnable. Its not too late to pull the plug on this thing and limit the damage. The Lawsuit could end up costing the company ten times the savings they could get from the... — read more
