I work in Retail Support. We have already been stripped to 2 employees to support many aspects of the retail environment. The jobs have been given to Indians offshore, and they are horrible. They cannot do anything and the workload is being pushed to the only employees who seem to care. And Managements answer is "it is what it is" and you are lucky to have a job. It really is a sad situation. Just very sad.

Do your job, but escalate to upper management when India isn't doing theirs. Document it. Do not do the work that India is supposed to do, hold the decision maker to that accountable because it is their business case. If you get flack, ask them if the decision to use India is a failure and if so they need to escalate. If they don't then you escalate.
"it is what it is" is always the mantra
