Unions arent perfect. but one thing is for sure. they set the bar for non union labor..Non union companies have to stay competitive to attract workers and its the unions that give nonunion labor a good starting point for their wages and benefits..

Union (and non-union) workers are not primarily at war with VZ but rather are primarily at war with the laws of supply and demand.

When your total comp inclusive of benefits reaches the point where you earn 40-50% more than non-union market, the laws of supply and demand themselves say that you "deserve" to lose your job to a non-union replacement from the market. Same laws... — read more
