Clock is ticking on benefits with new disabilities already shut down. No long term disability if, God forbid, you get hit by a car while picketing.

So far it's been a huge PR disaster for Verizon with no support for Lowell and his cronies.
They won't have to let the managers go. They can just cut heads from all the new hires they are bringing in to replace the union workers who are about to be locked out.
In the mean time the EWA workers are making a boatload of overtime. The ones I've talked to hopes this lasts for months, lol.
637 newly promoted managers who will be let go once people get back to work.
If anybody thinks the new contract they get whenever will be better than the last contact (which is also the one they were working under for 9 months), then I've got some ocean front property for sale in Arizona. So in the meantime it's a shame so many will miss on a paycheck and benefits they probably really need and the new contract will not make up that different over the next 3 years.
They crossed in Silver Spring MD. A dozen yesterday and three more today just in the little group where I am assigned an EWA. Word on the street is most in that office will be back by Monday.
There's over 10,000 troubles and building
How do you know 637 crossed is there some link for this info?
As of today you are 38,363 strong as 637 have already crossed with out missing a paycheck. Drop drip drip wait till they miss a paycheck and pay $1500 a month to Cobra. Also RIP Gerry Horgan (sp) who miss stepped on picket duty many years ago. It can be nerve racking for young drivers being surrounded.
I don't see them winning either. They already receive good wages and benefits. I just cannot understand
how they are willing to gamble it away by listening to the union bosses lies. I do agree the CEO's lie too but just work and do your job
@fyt Just like the air traffic controllers. Went out on strike and when they wanted to come back their jobs were already filled. Maybe your too young to remember that. Keep dreaming!
Seriously @GUOgEp8 ??
On day two your God (Lowell) is out talking to employees trying to save face and you think it's a losing battle for CWA/IBEW ??...If this one's in the bag as you imply, why is he wasting his time outside the Basking Ridge Ivory Tower and not out playing golf on a beautiful April day ??
Come to think of it I can't think of a time where the Union has been in a better place of negotiation so soon after a walkout.
It will take a few weeks but the union will win. The power of 39k people with one voice.
Right! Especially when they are deliberately and intentionally stepping stepping in front of cars and purposefully trying to make the car hit them, so they could start posting on social media and union websites some bulls**t about how management ran their sorry asses over with their car.
And before anyone even responds to this, trying to deny that it is deliberate and intentional, don't insult people's intelligence. The only ones who believe your crock of crap are people from the union.
