I'm a capitalist not a socialist therefore I'm not in the union. But, in for a penny in for a pound. https://www.wsws.org/en/articles/2016/05/28/veri-m27.html?view=article_mobile As I said I'm not in the union. I've actually made a lot of money... — read more
You can me whatever names you want but the fact is you walked out blind and you came back in blind.
You walked out and gave up seven weeks of pay because the union told you so. Now you're coming back to work because the union told you so. And what exactly did you gain for your seven weeks of pay? More dues for the union from a handful a wireless... — read more
EWA's/UNION
Gotta admit this site had some pretty hysterical things written on here.. Also there were some rude/crude things written on here... But I think the majority wish everyone well and are looking forward to getting things back to "normal".. I know there... — read more
Bend Over
Push slightly while Dennis G. does you and whispers from behind your back how good it is. We went out for the wireless workers? Those are the "big gains"?
Not bragging but, everything regarding the strike has happened exactly as I said it would all along.
So think about that.
Union return 6/1/16
Mudge email confirms...
Quack attack
If it looks like a fishy dea, l swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck, or in this case a fool,We are about to be tested, this implies that Verizon is king and is not what it appears to be.
Sounds like a DOL scam
If we come back before knowing if it's voted in or not we could end up going back out and waiting another 7 weeks for unemployment! They want to cut the strike short to avoid paying benefits and force this contract!
I smell a sellout
No one has seen the terms but we are talking about returning June 1. If we go back to work we will be essentially forced to agree to it since we aren't going to want to strike again. We need to stay out until we see the full terms, not just talking... — read more
WE DID VERY WELL
No 30 year cap on pensions 3% pension band increase. 10.5% pay increase 8 buildings slated for closing will not close. Retirees taken care of They didn't get what they wanted with outsourcing and forced transfers
Thank you to all who made this return to work possible.
That would be the drunken hillbilly southern redneck Luke bryan tractor rap listening trailer trash fools who thought climbing poles and dealing with customers in 90 degree heat would be..well, bubbas' northern vacation.
Lesson learned we go back to work and work by the company rules, work safe,no favors every job gets done by the book if every member did this
we wouldn't have been on strike and lost a penny it's always better to fight them while we are taking their money and remember Verizon's credo No job is so important and no service is so urgent that we cannot take time to perform our work safely
Every day the union delays is another day we don't get paid.
But I guess that's OK I'm sure they're off having a great holiday weekend on our dime.
I stood behind the Union and my future got sold out for those who still have pension plans
If our big win was the pension plan, it wasn't a win for many of us and we compromised our future. I feel used!
The CWA never stated that we agreed to mediation but "appreciates the persistence and dedication .... of FMCS."

IBEW now that the strike is over, set-up your OWN Member Relief Fund so the CWA Members don't have to listen to you complaining in 4-years.
Call for a special assessment and require each Member to pay $500 (which they can take from their signing bonus) to get the ball rolling.
Ever wonder why your Union Contracts have always been 3 year contracts?
I worked for Verizon some time ago for years and I left when I had a chance. I'm not anti union or pro company. I am however a person who understands that there are two sides it all and neither is really looking out for YOU. I use to wonder why the... — read more

EWA's thank you for doing such a horrible job without you we would still be without a contract but it's not your fault it's the morons that run
this company now i'm not saying what we do is rocket science but thinking they could train you guys and girls for a couple of weeks and you would be able to perform the job efficiently as we all know this plan was an epic fail we know this from local... — read more
Very happy for union.
Now that union has won and wireless is also unionized, I am happy to see the path being paved for many of the management leadership to exit in humiliation, including several managers, directors, VPs.
Joining Forces Program

Verizon's Lowell McAdam's Epic Fail At Union Busting.
Lets be clear here this was an attempt to bust the Unions in Verizon. The Company did not need to do this for financial reasons. They made it very clear this attack was to eliminate the Union. All their planning, and training in Leesburg Virginia... — read more
