Thread regarding Verizon Communications Inc. layoffs

20Gb Limitless Data

This ad is so stupid and misleading. Who thinks and approves this crap? I am embarrassed every time I see it.

Wrong. Safety = Another Verizon sham. With unlimited data no need to worry about overages or safety mode. Better off with the competition.

Safety= safe from overages. Verizon incentivized customers to choose higher data tiers by including safety mode and Canada/Mexico. The market responded, so Verizon adjusted to include safety mode across the board. Seems logical

Why do they call it safety mode? Is throttling your data safe? More like safe for Verizons network. Still hilarious this dumb a$$ company tried to charge a monthly fee for it.

Nothing wrong with this, both statements are valid - 20=yes; limitless+=yes

20GB (data amount) of high speed data, then safety mode kicks in limiting your speeds to 128kbps. No overages, but slow speeds after the 20GB.

Translation for the non-technical people... 20 Gb (Gigabits) is equivalent to 2.5 GB (Gigabytes) of data... note the difference in lower-case and upper-case "b/B's"...

Generally, data transfer/communications is rated in "bits" where data storage is rated in "bytes"

Typical Verizon, Smoke and Mirrors, any way to deceive, nickle and dime the paying customer. The ad's they run, in no way reflect the bill you receive. Then the customer service staff are well trained to make you, the paying customer, the one who just didn't "understand" the deal"

So not only are they robbing you, But they insult your intelligence to boot. You have to hand it to them, it's a well oiled deceiving machine.

Brilliant !
