If 10,400 accepted, and we do the math on the severance packages offered, that amounts to approximately $1.5 to $2B in savings. I'm basing that on high end packages of between 150,000 and 200,000. How do get to $10B without more RIFs?

Verizon Announces It Will Cut 10,400 Employees Next Year

Got accepted for 6/28, really needed 12/28 or 3/28. Can I just turn in my two weeks and quit? I know I would obviously be forfeiting the VSP package money, etc. Is that even possible?

There is a new clause #14. in agreement about incoming changes to severance policy, which can be better (more advantageous) or worse (less advantageous) than today’s, nonetheless for they are changing the standard severance policy.

Seems like everybody around me has been denied. I'm having trouble believing over 10k has been accepted and nobody around me is among them. I wouldn't be surprised if that number was one big lie.
