Just got approved. In California. There's a waiting period so will not get paid until probably mid October.

I’m amazed at how many of you started asking these questions AFTER taking the VSP.
I have not applied as I have a later VSP separation date, but I will add if your benefits are denied because Centene objects you can always appeal the ruling. I was laid off 20+ years ago and my former employer objected to everyone receiving benefits and I appealed and even scheduled a hearing with a mediator then my employer agreed to my receiving unemployment. Of course that was in a different state and a long time ago so I am not sure if things are the same.

Missouri - took VSP and approved for unemployment but haven't received payment yet
Heck - I’m talking to folks getting letters saying basically “ we’ll pay you out your vsp money / severance when it’s a good time for us …“
And then they gotta letter listing the the cobra cost to the former employee at FULL PREMIUM of like 1200 a month …. So that’s concerning too .

I applied in NYS and got approved but I had to send it my severance information. From what I read on the website, as long as g as the severance payment is a lump sum and received AFTER 30 days of your termination date, then your unemployment should not be impacted.
I have applied and received approval. They said it’s pending payment for a response from my employer.
I applied. Nothing yet. As soon as I get a response I'll post here.
