Q4 Layoff Odds?

A q for folks who have been around for a while. 18 months here. Just curious to see if there is a pattern. I dont have any insider info, I just feel that all companies are cutting. I may be 100% off.

Confidence is high. I repeat, Confidence is high.

Bank on it @OP

The recent Dell results show they can get by with less people. Dell isn't d-mb. I hate how the company is affecting me but they aren't d-mb.

All companies are cutting.

Just prepare yourself in case it comes. That is all we can do.

The Dell stock has been on a tear so anything they do is justified. I would love it to return to the late 90s where job hunting has a breeze. I think those days are gone.

You work at Dell. The pattern is that you will be laid off. Just a matter of when.

I looked at Dell’s stock price and it is above $500. The company must be doing something good from the investors perspective.

There is a pattern: hr offenders first. Low performers the second, redundant positions after. Some remotes and then pick some random numbers as badge to close the monthly quota...

Throw history out the window. The pattern now is Dell is laying off as many people as possible, sometimes even weekly, to get the company ready to sell for pieces and parts.

@OP at this point layoff odds are high until Dell gets down to where Michael's ready to sell
