Thoughts on what is happening in tech? Upcoming org changes, etc., any rumors of layoffs? Wondering the latest.

@ft, Yes you can prompt it to write your agent. You can build the agent's skills. You can do a lot. but.... you have to be intelligent. I wonder how many intelligent people are still at this bank.
@a7, yup a dumpster fire where every SDLC antipattern is exhibited. Either the "stars" have to start performing or the sell out will be necessary.

is BE still there? TK and SVB? Pretty soon the other banks, such as JPM will be releasing their agents. This bank will be lost in the land of prompts while others go on. Hard to get vision when you have been blind for so long. Having a bunch of yapping Injuns doesn't help either.
I think the domestic tech org is being intentionally destroyed. Sharts vision would be tech being an India based service that WF pays for.
Technology is bordering on a state of non-repair. It's a total disaster being led by complete id--ts.
It’s a total sh-t show. Maybe it’s just too big to run effectively but the last two “leaders” have been ridiculous. Know nothing got replaced by do nothing. But don’t worry- AI will save us. I could write a white paper on the issues with the way it’s being used. Maybe the real stuff is super stealth and we don’t know about it. They should hire me. I’ll sc--w it up and only charge them $2 million/year.
Non engineering engineers are having a field day with Copilot and vibe coding :-) a prototype and concept baking every few hours!

Technology is a dumpster fire. It's too late to turn back the clock. Only a merger with another large institution could deconstruct all the damage that has been done. At this point make as much money as you can ... and get out.
