@aj what?!!!!! Read what i said again cos you are confusing urself. I repeat in my experience. My last day was 529. That was my last day of work, but my separation day was June 5. I got the last agreement paperwork the day after my last day which was June 6 I signed it immediately however there was a 7 day revocation period. I did not get my severance until the pay period of July 3 hence my point is it may take a pay cycle or two for you to get your severance that’s all I’m saying take it or leave it.

Just received the following email response as noted in the previous post: Please be assured that there will be no impact to your final pay or severance pay if you sign your agreement before receiving your final regular paycheck on 9/11/2026. Your final pay will be processed as normal, and severance will be issued 1-2 pay periods following your 7-day revocation period.

Sounds like signing earlier is not a problem but in retrospect may be good to wait until after your last paycheck just to be safe.

I also made the mistake of signing it today. On the VSP page it says “You have 7 calendar days from electronic signature date to revoke your Agreement, if desired. Any revocation within this period must be submitted, in writing, to agreements@centene.com. I asked for an explanation as to how to revoke my agreement and then resign it after the 9/11 paycheck date while making sure not to lose my severance benefits. Will post their response when received. Would have been nice if the system was designed to block signatures until the correct date by my bad for signing too soon.

@a6 really. ? You did not have to sign for the severance ? I was RIFd and my agreement will be coming out after 9/4 my official last day and pay on 9/11 last check. With these vampires 🧛‍♂️ and I have to sign in to work day to view and sign or print if taking to attorney. And then wait 1-2 pay periods to get the lump sum so everything you said makes zero sense

FFS, Centene's "leadership" (and legal consultants, for that matter) modus operandi continues to be convoluted pond sc-m, up 'til and including the bitter end! They just can't get anything right!

Let's just go ahead and take an already stressful situation regarding people's money/income...and make it even MORE stressful. Yeah, that's the ticket. Throw in some dubiously worded fine print and confusing verbiage, regarding deadlines for signatures to the document we're requiring them to sign.

@aa I would contact HR to ask how to handle it if you already signed it.

I'm sure they're getting slammed-so just remember whoever you're talking to isn't the one who made the language contradiction.

Anybody have feedback about signing today and if there are any consequences?? I'm on hold with HR now but call volume is high.

What do you advise to the people who signed it. A lot of folks though you can sign it on separation date. A obvious mistake though.

@a4 Replying to myself-I have confirmed with HR that the paycheck for the 8/23-9/4 period will be issue as expected on 9/11/2026.

To be on the safe side, I will not be signing the release till that check hits my bank.

@a4 In plain English, it means:

“By signing this agreement, I agree that the company has already paid me everything it owed me for my employment, except for the money or benefits specifically promised in Section 2.”

So, for example, if Section 2 promises a VSP/severance payment, you are not saying you’ve already received that severance. You’re saying:

“My regular wages, salary, bonuses or other benefits that I was already entitled to have been handled. The only additional amount I’m expecting is whatever Section 2 promises me.”

The phrase “is owed no further compensation or benefits of any kind” sounds very broad, but the beginning—“except as provided in Section 2”—creates an important exception.

Which is why this needs to be signed AFTER next friday which is pay day for the last two weeks of work.

@a4 now is today the last day of work AND separation date? Or is today last day of work and next week friday is separation date? When i was rif in may, may 29 was last day of work but my separation date was june 5th and on that paycheck i got 3 weeks of pay - 2 weeks up to may 29 and thr week from may 29-june 5th.

@OP u cannot sign it until after friday which is ur last paycheck date, then add 7 days to that for it to be active to move into processing.

I'm reading Section 7 of mine, which seems to indicate I'm not going to get paid for the last two weeks of work if I sign it.

I'm on hold with HR now, because if that's the case, I'm going to need to have a lawyer review it-and I didn't want to have to go through that mess.

The problematic language in that section is:

By signing below, Employee confirms and agrees that as of the Termination Date: (a) except as provided in Section 2 of this Release, Employee has been paid (subject to
withholding for taxes and applicable deductions) all compensation and benefits of any kind (including wages, salary, vacation, sick leave, commissions, bonuses, severance, incentive compensation and equity participation) earned as a result of Employee’s employment and owed according to law or policy and is owed no further compensation or benefits of any kind;

THAT MEANS THEY CONSIDER THE LAST TWO WEEKS AS ROLLED INTO THE SEPARATION AMOUNT, AS I READ IT.

That was NOT called out in the initial VSP package.
