What is the difference for anyone let go immediately on 8/10? They essentially rec'd four weeks additional pay just like VSP and they didn't have to work! Their severance begins 9/4 just like VSP.

@ds Yes, even some were told they have to stay until next year!
They got paid regularly through the 4th. Then their severance kicks in is what I'm understaning. Hence, a free month of pay w/o having to work. Whereas, VSP had to work and to get their "free" month of pay.
Why are some that were apart of the involuntary crowd saying they are getting severance if they only got paid through the 4th?
Are there VSP end dates for October, November, and December of this year?
Ppl let go immediately on 8/10, got the same deal as VSP then.
@af yes, every package included 2 weeks pay for every yr with the company
@a2 technically the 9/4 ppl could have applied anytime. Most jobs u don’t even get called for interviews for a while anyhow.

@OP No, they don't/didn't receive any additional pay like the VSP offered. They were just paid through 9/4.
@OP VsP employees can apply for jobs as of 8/10 instead of waiting until 9/4.
