HCSC is now being managed by Manika and others with some ideology that they are bent on. It is not business. It is ideology. Maurice was an incrediblely smart business person back in the day, but he too has succumbed to this cr-p. Hcsc used to be the best of the Blues. No longer.

@8es - Agreed. Lowering costs through not hiring and attrition is good for their bonuses though. The long term health of the company and ability to get things done are secondary priorities.
What will tomorrow's Town Hall bring? They need to hire if they keep growing the markets, and losing people to retirement and other opportunities.
@85n - It makes no sense and just adds a burden on the employee, their manager and director. It slows down work getting done and adds more work to security too.
Just another d-mb decision by current HCSC upper management.
At the same time, they insist non-remote employees come to the office for added teamwork benefits...while also not allowing remote employees in for meetings or to get their equipment fixed in order to be able to work. Just d-mb!
@81t can anyone make any kind of sense of this policy?! I have been trying to but just cant.
@801 - They are making important decisions like not allowing remote employees into the office building, even to attend an in person meeting or get their hardware fixed, unless 24 advanced written approval from their director sent to security. I wish this was a joke, but it's reality. The management of this company is getting more absurd everyday.
@bq well at least most have their pants on and up - unlike others here
@7hn all of this tracks with what I’m hearing HR is a cr-p show, leadership is most definitely a soap opera of cliques, and oh boy would we love to know what the head please clap hit actually does.
The chief people officer (hilarious) is getting ready to settle some scores now that she is in charge of her sworn enemy and her team. It's not coincidence that a VP who was here for 10 years suddenly decided to leave once her entire team was moved under she who shall not be named. They can't stand each other. And no one except her sidekick in Jordans and her gopher in Richardson actually likes her. The rest of her team is scared of her. Which is why they leak news the way they do. Remember late last year when someone posted that HCSC was planning to go back to a five day work week? That was true. They were going to make leaders come back into the office five days a week. And the VP who leaked that information is no longer here. She left because she couldn't stand working with leaders that didn't even act like they respected her (the guy with a megaphone for a nose and her gopher in Richardson) and she was tired of being fake with her boss. The reason they didn't go through with that plan is because they realized that hundreds of leaders would have outright quit or quiet quit and it scared them. The CEO has been trying to get people back in the office because he's mad about coffee badging and employees refusing to come in. I might make a post about some of his comings and goings one of these days. You would be surprised.
@5sd+1kybk7qdj I think it breaks site rules, naming names I mean.
@3z2 I watched posts get removed the past couple of days over a CAS who is no longer with the company. They ripped on a couple of supervisors in a TX office by name, and someone got it removed.
@3wv I disagree that they aren’t monitoring the site to a certain extent. But I think more from a safety perspective - especially after what happened with the United CEO, they are looking to see if there’s anything threatening (even if they don’t know who’s actually posting it, I know that they will reach out to the leader or to their HRBP to make sure they are aware).
@3rx imagine being so naive that company representatives cannot request posts be removed. It happened previously when people posted false and awful things about a few people who were let go. Some comments and one entire thread were gone in record time. No we are not that important but the site is checked by company people and also reporters
Absolutely mental take. No one at HCSC monitors this website or tracks IP addresses. You might as well be posting on reddit or fark.
You aren't that important.
@3k9 you assume leadership but yes, they are busy with other things. There are others monitoring and removing things that cross the line. The site owner doesn’t arbitrarily remove posts. The direction comes from elsewhere
Imagine believing this forum is monitored. I don't know if the word is parasocial or paranoid or stupid, but my god it's applicable here.
Leadership doesn't care about some venting website. You/we are just not that important.
@391 even this forum is monitored and if you think no one can take down posts think again you’ll be very disappointed
@36f who says that person is not doing their job? You sure are a judgemental su-k up.
@2y5 is a** hat better?
@2ck you are on multiple posts here and your best expression is butt clowns. Every time it’s butt clowns. If you know the business better consider leading it, BC, and expand your vocabulary
Butt clowns
@y8 what was/is the role? He left.
@ym 👀👀👀
@vx @vx so it’s easy but you can’t or won’t define it, that’s okay, most of us here couldn’t and most likely have never and never will create a strategy for an entire company let alone a division or department. Still, we can see a strategy that doesn’t make sense to us or doesn’t seem to be working, but that’s different from saying there isn’t a strategy or that’s it’s easy to create one.
@y8 Josh has been gone for several weeks now......
This will improve as Josh Akovenko transitions into his new role in the ELT.
@q7 This is a test for ELG and SLT. So fu-k no, I am not answering it. The answer is pretty easy.
But thank you!
@jn the negative folks who dont like this comment fascinates me. You dont want to reward bringing in more money and business? What else? Equity? Meaning we need to subsidize based on that? Make this make sense!
@q7 biggest problem is HCSC culture, then strategy. Everyone on pins and needles.
@km how about we ask you? No using AI.
@c0 is a business plan a strategy?
@c0 ask anyone in ELG or SLT to define the word strategy
@jn well clearly the leaders are doing none of that-
@gt what's your definition of woke? Mine is anything other than merit...you bring in more business, you get more...you dont, you dont. Recognition is based on ROI.
@h5 Don't know a Shannon, and ou wouldn't know me. My nose isn't up the corporate butts
@h6 worst multistate for sure...Michigan is the worst.
@OP we are the worst run blues plan now.
@gt we have very few over 65 employees so try again. It’s a word used by many. My guess is you are benefiting from being pathetic at your job. Is your pal Shannon?.
@ee There is a strategy, to become a national player using HS offices as a springboard into new, non-MA markets. Maybe what you’re trying to say is they have no tactics to implement their strategy, and their execution putting the plan they do have into place is poor, we agree on that.
Throwing "woke" around - just another buzzword used by the over 65 crowd. You're nobetter than they are with the synergy buzzwords. Two sides of a coin.
You sound like Texan for sure
