When old man Stankey talked about “don’t be a Yugo”, be a Porsche,” he revealed how outdated his cultural references are. People under 65 were left scratching their collective heads because they don’t know of or recall that Yugos were cars from the 1980s and early 1990s. They had many problems. They were produced in a country that hasn’t existed for many, many decades- Yugoslavia. He’s so out of touch, he doesn’t realize that Yugoslavia was carved into many countries in the 1990s. He needs to retire now

His reference to McDonald’s is as outdated as He is. Using a “Way Back” machine, if you transport yourself to 1977, McDonald’s was indeed just like the Army or like the old Bell Operating Systems. Lots of regimentation. One way of doing things. Hamburgers were mass produced and sat under heating lamps until someone ordered one. Then along came Burger King with “have it Your Way”. McDonald’s then started making the burgers as they were ordered- extra cheese, no pickles, etc. Stankey doesn’t realize that McDonald’s doesn’t operate like that anymore and hasn’t since the 1970s, so his cultural references are extremely dated and irrelevant. He should retire. I know because I used to work at McDonald’s and they did operate like the Army back in the day , but that’s decades ago

@be Stankey has been taking about revenue per employee for almost 20 years. So it's not the investors who are interested, it's him who's interested and getting them to agree with him. T had a much larger footprint that forced us to have additional headcount. And those revenue numbers per employee can be skewed by how many contractors a company has.
