@ej Yes. But I would estimate one level G in the US delivers what 5 level G’s in Pune do. They are not independent thinkers. They lack strategic thinking ability. And cannot make decisions.

@ec Whole teams with alot of knowledge have been let go across the Board. Its has not been a layoff of the worst employees. Some I was shocked were laid off bc they were some of the best and hardest workers while others with rather little knowledge and skill remained.

@ey

I disagree
Leadership in this company are not imported from Mars

They are home grown

@ec. even is a small percentage of the employees did zero work that would be insignificant in comparison with the vast sums of money lost due to the spill, other accidents, fines, and gross strategic missteps like reinvent and the net zero debacle. he-l, bP just wrote down billions in low carbon assets a week. your stupid cincerns are misplaced. even if every employee had been competent and motivated none of that would have helped against the gigantic unforced errors bP has made.

@ec I know of some great employees who are being replaced by cheap labor overseas just based on eliminating entire US departments.

It just seems to be targeted at G-F-H but this is a bit of an illusion. The focus will actually be on the unproductive and especially those that lack ambition and motivation. We promote folk to G-F-H so we can assess and separate the wheat from the chaff. Sadly, our company is presently weighed down with excess chaff.

Of course they are, it started with off shoring all lower level jobs now it’s their turn. Most of them are useless anyway, but certain folks will probably still be protected like the ones who slept their way to the top.

Let’s see, in almost 15 years I’ve been through at least 6 layoffs. So yeah, by mid next year we should be due again! ☹️

Yes of course. More and more and more transfer of roles to India.

It did make me chuckle when on the webcast they started talking about moving roles from India to cheaper locations.

Yes there was always a 4th wave planned. I suspect it’s being rebranded in something else - another reinvent ? Or refocus?

... Probably a question of when, not if, isn't it...
