@ac BAIV
@a7 almost 13 years.
@ab do we know what the tax is like for that? Does the tax come out all at once?
Every single one is different. I am being offered 10 weeks but I've only been with the company a few years. Less than 4
Does this typically mean that new hires within the year are sc--wed? Possibly first on the chopping block?
@ab what is your job title?
it’s 2 weeks per year capped at 15 years, 1 week per year after that. mine is 40 weeks + 10 months of COBRA
Does signing up automatically put us on some kind of watchlist? Even clicking the link makes me nervous
Has anyone seen anything in the VSP materials about accepting another job before the September 1 separation date? For example, if someone were to receive and accept another offer before then, would that impact VSP eligibility or severance payments?
They are not all the same, Only 2 weeks per year
@a4 I take it you got the email. If you don't mind answering how may years have you been with the company?
The email from Tonya says “throughout the day tomorrow” so maybe it is a slow rollout??
@a4 in New York state if they give you a lump sum you can still collect unemployment . I know some have already received the offer this morning. Most of us have not yet. It's interesting to know that they're offering 4 weeks per year. I'm wondering if it's lump sum or not
Just has instructions on how to setup up the website to view your statement and goes over the basic website information. When logged it it appeared to be 4wks severance for every yr of service at this time. So that must be the calculation with the increased severance. Please remember in most states this also makes you ineligible to unemployment benefits.
@a2 are they using their standard policy of 2 weeks for every uear worked to calculate severance?
The email included your personalized severance statement, program details, FAQ, Medicare transition guide, resources ans contact info.
When you create a profile it will disclose your severance amount. The benefit value is your base salary, divided by 52 multiplied by weeks of severance.
You have until July 2 to make a decision and it says a separation date of sept 1st
I got the email and it won’t even let me register to look at it. The help center for the VSP says my social doesn’t match. So I’m curious too!
