Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

When's the BIG axe falling?

I know we're having layoffs weekly, but I was kind of expecting there to be a bigger cut at the start of h2. Still looking at feb 2026?

They moved about 80% of the work load in one of the ISG groups to India last week. Barely any work so my guess is 50% cut in the group coming. Then they will see how much work it drops on existing people and go back for more if the people left are not over worked.

Dell perpetually drops the big axe, they just do it slowly to stay out of the news. If they weren't afraid of their public image being damaged they'd layoff 20-30k every month and outsiurce to India until getting to their arbitrary headcount goal that sime consultant handed to them.

Yeah, usually it’s around August and February, but lately it feels like the layoff season never ends. I don’t think there’s been a week without one since the year started.

The axe doesn't stop swinging at dell. EVER. But generally speaking if you make it through August, you are safe until late February lol... That's been the pattern for the last half decade, anyways.

They’re also quietly swinging the small axe shifting ISG roles from the U.S. to India little by little. If you check the headcounts, you’ll see just how many jobs have already been cut in the U.S.

Yeah, more than likely it'll be end of Q4 like usual. So Feb/March area if I had to guess
