Do we know the total layoff count as of yesterday? Was it 13k or with more to add to today’s count? Is it over?

@a3 That makes sense. Either way it's a wait and see, and we don't really know that all 13k+ were notified as of yet.. The business could later decide today, tomorrow, dec 20th, or beyond that it wants to lay more off that could equate to the 13k+. Either way we are left in the dark with most information. Leadership starting from the top down need to be more transparent.
@a1 yeah but there are many people who were laid off yesterday that are still on the books until 1/20 or 2/20. They're going to be employees for an additional 2-3 months but have already been notified and are included in the 13k number.
It doesn't mean "more" are coming in the future, they've already been laid off but are still on payroll.
Now...that's obviously not to say there for sure won't be additional rounds in 2026, but just because 13k don't come off the books 12/20 doesn't mean 13k weren't notified yesterday.
It's not over. If you look at the main slack there is over 116k verizon employees. by 12/20 that would in theory be around 103k if 13k were let go this round. So its a wait and see what it shows end of dec.
