Yes, I received the email. A similar email was sent by Hans. I also gave sincere feedback during Pulse. Multiple submissions in Ideas at Work.

For over a decade, I have tenured ideas. Also for over a decade, I have cautioned leadership regarding the clear missteps that they were making. It was tempered at first, but was amplified when Hans was hired. There were many red flags.

"The plan will be presented ro the board for them to approve.". Yes, that's how corporations work. Hans did the same, and how did that work out? The signs were obvious of the.impwnding failure.

So the root of the issue are those that do the hiring. The board needs flipped.

Should I participate on this even after my layoff? My heart and mind are in conflict. I wanted to give my rhought to show them that I don’t deserve to be laid off but yet my mind tells me not to because they laid me off. Dilemma of a laidoff IC with good intention.

A long time employees view
1) At Verizon your a number only, they have no soul your opinion, health or feelings are irrelevant to the machine.
2) As little as I trust the Company trust the Union less, a bunch of self serving Clowns that think they are Jr managers.
3) Your coworkers only care about themselves and are not your friends. It’s all about being the last paycheck standing.

Merry Christmas

If you don’t want to be a part of the team going forward then please resign now. We don’t need your negativity.

Didn’t we already have “Ideas at Work” or am I making that up?

Not that they want to hear what I have to say anyway

We did this in our VP group and they had so many suggestions they just assigned the resolution tonthe oerson making the suggestion. Magically they stopped getting input.

The Vz Culture from Director level on up is quite simply DEI unqualified and horrendous Leadership.

@OP my previous colleague told me its business as usual in the office. the lay off was bs. I dont kow why they decided to do it. ok, yeah they can do with less people. But they should have looked at the structure, where we have more execs than needed. The lay off affected lots of people at the bottom.

I suggested he switch to decaf. It is quite obvious that he's too revved up on caffeine and needs to calm down

I gave him the truth. If they retract my severance that is illegal. It is retaliation and unlawful.

I said we should throw our hat in the ring and try to buy Warner Brothers.

Giving feedback is such an important part of our job. Look at how many changes we have driven through this mechanism. After 7 years of screaming feedback and inputs we listened and got rid of all the mqrqns from VZ leadership.

It wouldn’t be possible without your feedback so keep it coming. Dan the man, is doing all he can, to give results and bam, we will all be his fan. Damn!

@OP the plan has to pass the board first. You wouldn't understand . Verizon will do just fine

All optics. The long term Denise of Verizon as we know is cemented and in progress. There is not headcount to sift through the responses and we have proven an inability to execute so responses are meaningless unless they include things like “don’t pay our CEO $60 million and don’t give Sampath and Skiadas $4,000,000 for retention and Hans should have his payments cut off and not be on the board.
