Licensing direct air capture vs owning

Was there a strategy shift in the last couple of weeks? I thought Oxy was supposed to build and operate 50? 70? 100? plants and sell credits. Now they are talking about licensing them instead? I'm not complaining - as an investor, I wasn't sold on... — read more

Hollub still there? Pitiful.

Oxy. Always has been a loser, and its leadership from CEO to Managers, always lacking and incompetent. Is it even an oil and gas company now, or a green-wannabe? No wonder Chevron did a hard pass. Vicki as CEO still makes me laugh.

Bonus question

Do you have to wait one full year after you are hired to be eligible for bonus or is it prorated?

Oxy and DAC..............

Per the below artice it looks like Oxy basically had the federal govt pay for the recent acquisition. Seems like Oxy really got out in front of the whole green energy demands on the industry... — read more

Oxy reorg?

Is there more reorganization coming? It seems like now is the time to clean house.

Another quarter, another earnings miss

Seems par for the course. But at least the world got to see the Oxy logo on the Astros jerseys after Framber’s no-no yesterday. Is capex going up for DAC or for oil and gas production?

Land Department Turnover

Why is there so much turnover in the land department? It seems especially bad lately, are people just unhappy? Seems like quite a few folks are also leaving for renewable energy jobs or oil companies with much better pay.

Whats your grade and TC?

Just curious what your total compensation package looks like lately. Obviously very oil price dependent.

Paid well or not?

One of the few things I have no complaints about here is the pay. That's the only reason I'm still here and I'm a little surprised by those who say they are underpaid.

Stock bonuses

At what grade do employees typically get stock bonuses?

VP D&I

How long before the VP D&I position is eliminated and those responsibilities are simply incorporated into the HR department?

Salary difference if moving within the company?

If you change roles within the company ( not promotion) do you get a new offer? Lets say within the same org just different role. Not expecting anything just wanted to know that's all.

Today's Quarterly Presentation

And the takeaway today is... Stock buybacks for the foreseeable future! Going to be tough sledding at Oxy till the debt becomes manageable. Minor nod to OxyChem and Carbon capture. Long lateral's in the DJ basin. Sorry for prodding you to find new... — read more

Benefits of hybrid schedule

What is up with all the very senior deadwood?

In my discipline in the main office there are many technical staff in senior grades which can barely keep up with times. Just poor technical skills and no subject depth. It seems it's a purely union shop? Years in the industry define your grade, no... — read more

CCS vs. CCUS - Oxy vs. Exxon

Oxy has long history in operating CCUS (EOR) fields, but no experience at all in CCS. How does Oxy compare to Exxon in terms of CCS efforts?

Woodlands Tower

As a shareholder and retiree I am always surprised to walk by the tower at 9:30 in the morning and see people working out in the gym and staff walking on the waterway. Firstly, you can see through the smoked glass from the outside and secondly, if... — read more

Office work and job security

Personally, coming to the office does not give me any illusion that my job is safer than not coming to the office. Why do some think that coming to the office makes their job more secure from offshoring?

Your honest answer

I know that things on here should be taken with a grain of salt but I'm still curious. What do you dislike/like about the company or what has your personal experience been like? What would you say to someone who is thinking about applying or to past... — read more
