For those doubting that Nike is behind

We are not the only ones who are noticing that Adidas is getting way ahead of us, with less and less chance of us catching up to them... I hope somebody decides to do something about this before it's too late... — read more

Latest Rumor: Next Round Coming End of August

I realize rumors are flying left and right given the lack of communication from leadership, but I've heard from a very credible source that the next round is happening the last week of August. It sounds like the original plan was to roll out... — read more

Dreading next week

Not sure if I am giving too much credence to rumors, but August 15 truly seems to be the D-day. I've been with Nike for over 10 years, and I used to love my job. Now, it's mostly a source of stress for me as I don't know if I am going to be next on... — read more

August 15

Bloodbath round 2 will hit. Nike will call it optimization by reorganization in order to increase speed and flexibility. It isn't. This is straight overhead reduction because Nike isn't a growth company anymore. Rumor is that 1200 people will be let... — read more

More 200 layoff rounds, or all at once?

So far, 200 people have been laid off. We all know more is coming in August, but what I was wondering is if Nike will go for the entire 1200 remaining at once, or will they split it up? In all honesty, I think I'd rather know right now, then have to... — read more

How many laid off in June?

Were all 2% (1400) laid off already in June? Is August an additional percentage being laid off in addition to the 2% in June?

Revamp through layoffs

Of course that layoffs are the first step to take, even if the company is suffering much, much deeper problems that need to be addressed. But we all know that no matter where and no matter how much it is their doing, management will not be the one to... — read more

Nike should do better by its employees

What's the severance package?

Anyone have info on what the severance is? I heard 1 month for every 2 years worked -- which is pretty awful.

WHQ?

Anyone have an idea how many FTE's were let go yesterday at WHQ? It feels like most of the supposed 1,400 were there, maybe more. And it feels like most of those of us with at least 5 years or more were axed. A blood bath.

Nike - where careers go to die.

What is interesting, the decision makers (C-Suite) who got Nike in this bad position (actually this occurred before) still maintain their positions. T he problem is on the top floor not with the people they are laying off. The continue to make bad... — read more

2015 Layoffs at Nike

I anticipate an overall drop in global demand for our goods for number of reasons (I think a recession is coming) - This will result in a prompt management move to control costs and payroll costs (especially at Nike) are enormous.
