Happy Holidays you are fired

Laying people off even with severance is cold during the Holidays. Most of those laid off won't get any serious offers and interviews till mid/end January. Heads up life does exist after NetApp.

Bootlickers were not spared this time

The left over boot lickers were not spared this time. It was a joy to see them be put in their place. If they got sacked it was because the provide no value to the company.

Security Teams got butchered

Bad managers are rewarded for tasking people to death

At NetApp, bad managers are rewarded for tasking people to death. The culture is very toxicand people take advantage of good workers by throwing things to them over the fence. Project OCEAN is the worst! The managers of this program need to take a... — read more

Getting past it

Am I the only one in the last layoff who is struggling to get past it? I’m just finding myself getting angrier and angrier as each day passes and I know that this isn’t positive but changing that line of thinking is taking more energy than I have. .. — read more

I don't know why I even bother

I'm over NetApp. It's draining to keep pushing myself when it feels like my manager's never satisfied, no matter how good my work is. And it's good—other people see it and comment on it all the time. But when you're not in the "favorites club," it... — read more

This layoff is very disturbing

It seems that who you are actually matters as so far of the 10 people I know who were laid off, 100% were 30s-50s, white males. A small sample I know but wow, if that was the criteria used, good luck to all for the future.

Layoff on going

Sales and engineering are being targeted. A few team members are impacted. Anyone else?

Personnel action

Well, I don’t know who else is being affected today but I was just laid off due to ‘NetApp is changing the SE organization’ Good luck to everyone and keep your head up.

When is IT happening?

Any thoughts? I'm part of the filesystem QA team and have been working with the same team for several years. I'm a bit concerned now since we've been doing similar work for years, and it feels like it could be replaced by lower-cost hires but... — read more

Why is Mike Berry leaving?

Seems like long notice. Staying on until May 25, 2025 unless a new CFO identified before.

NetApp is causing me issues with my health

We are safe

With all the negative pr intel got from their layoffs i think management here is done with layoffs for the rest of the year.

Held up well despite CS outages

NA held up well despite being a CS shop. Can't say the same for those targeted for the next round of layoffs

More layoffs coming for non revenue producing BUs

Word has it as NetApp is preparing that all non producing business units will be slashed and reduced (layoffs). Management has brought in consultants who has told them they are either making money for the company or are consuming resources and... — read more
