HP is laying off up to 2000
Autodesk is laying off 1350
Meta is laying off 3600
And many more.
Companies do not layoff en masse in a robust economy.
There is a recession coming as predicted by an extended yield curve inversion.
They will gap and PIP you. If you are gaped, there is no severance, it’s a firing. They don’t owe you severance. Lay off is different but they are focusing on performance which means you are done working here
I haven't heard the severance thing here, but talking to friends at other companies who have been hit recently, the severance they've been getting is a minimal fraction of historical cuts. My one friend who got cut had worked for his company for almost a decade. When they were going over the exit paperwork, they said you get 30 days severance paused, and then moved on to COBRA. He was just floored. They also cut him Jan 31 which meant his healthcare went full COBRA the next day. I jsut can't believe NetApp would do this. Dial it back, sure, but cut it this bad or worse, nah.
Who the he-l are saying there won’t be any severance ? How can people survive in this job market without severance. Cruel and inexcusable.
Product has been gutted under Harv. Even if sales gets their sht together, soon there won’t be anything worth selling.
NTAP stock price is diving some more today, thank you President Cesar for your selfies.
Support is highly profitable and already on a skeleton crew, unlikely they’ll be touched much if at all.
I heard cloud, sales, support will all be affected
Oh boy, stock price took a dive after earnings.
GK will be looking for blood with no mercy. PTC and RTP teams will be hit hard, ICT should be OK.
NB is still hiring.
What's new? We've all known NetApp is slowly and painfully moving all technical engineering roles to NB. Support will be the last to go for obvious reasons.
. NetApp layoffs as soon as tomorrow. Heard the same that it is not going to be good. Focused on expense resources, which means anyone over 40 years of age and an outside sales team (AEs, SEs, specialist, etc) are in trouble.
That's an excellent way for NetApp to earn themselves a class action lawsuit. Plenty of high and top performers at 40 years or more.
NB is still hiring.
Netapp will never do a traditional layoff again. They will silently fire a handful of underperformers each month like they've been doing for the past year.
