I get why people think young people don’t do anything

I see it now, as someone older than my 20s. Less and less people know what they’re doing here. Everyone is new. Constant movement. Fido doesn’t pay enough to keep people or attract good people to necessary jobs. People are overworked and under payed... — read more

Advisory Services Townhall

Anyone feel disappointed with the advisory services town hall today? We deserve more pay and they just ask us to “trust them”? We don’t trust you at all when now our comp is pretty much shifting us towards FC comp metrics but without the FC pay. — read more

LinkedIn Award

Fidelity just announced that they’ve been awarded LinkedIn Top 20 Company to work for. How adorable! Must be all of those “zany” events they throw for employees. I’m sure all the Fidelity shills will celebrate and promote this on their LinkedIn... — read more

Forming a Union

What are your thoughts on forming a union to fight going back to the office and OT pay for those on phones?

Already posting Scrum Master roles

Just searched “scrum” on the job board. Says a lot that they fired dozens of folks in that job and then posted openings on April 1st. Probably more about getting rid of dead weight than only reducing head count in the role itself.

In US, 5-6k were laid off in March

I see a lot of confusion going around. Those of us who were laid off were given a document to sign (non-disclosures, severance, etc.) Inside that document, there is a list of ages and positions of those affected. This, by law, has to be given due to... — read more

Albuquerque location

What up with Albuquerque location. They closed half the center. They lease the building to themselves and could pack up the center anytime and leave .. and management is acting cagey. I'm telling you something is up.

It happened

No notice. 20 years down the drain for nothing. Cowards!

Scrum Master Layoffs

Does anybody know what algorithm HR used to layoff the scrum masters? I feel that there are a lot of scrum masters who shouldn’t have been let go.

Good morning

Wishing those laid off all the best. Hoping you all find opportunities that are less stressful and make you happy. For those that are still there, hoping morale gets better and that you eventually get good leadership. Enjoy every day of WFH, put you... — read more

Does Fidelity negotiate the initial salary offer when you are hired? Worth pushing back on?

Scam LinkedIn offers

I didn't realize LinkedIn had gone so downhill until I started getting so many scam offers. Please, everybody, be careful who you respond to. Research the recruiter before you do anything and be certain that the number you were sent really belongs to... — read more

Fidelity lost all employee trust

With these latest layoffs and how they were handled, the trust is completely gone. I think we'll be seeing more people make the decision to leave because who wants to work at a place where the leadership has proven to be both untrustworthy and... — read more

Future of the sm chapter

A lot of scrum masters(SMs) in WI were laid off. Does it mean that india and Ireland teams will have SMs and US will not? What’s the future of the SM’s chapter. Looks like its in jeopardy

Is it possible?

Are they prepping to go from private to public? Or a merger? Or a buyout?

I wish I was laid off

My workload is already increasing and I know this is just a start. I'm starting to wonder why I was ever worried about being laid off. It's not as if this job has any redeeming qualities left to miss if I'm gone.

Just go public

One of the top 3 items of importance to Fidelity is their public image. They have been known to settle issues out of court just to keep it out of the press (when possible). If you really want change, just blast social media with your common... — read more
