The TRUTH about WFH at the Bank

Years ago I was a unit manager in GT&O, and had a team of techies that were all WFH. What I quickly learned, is that it's a challenge to ensure productivity remotely. There is only a small percentage of WFH workers that are conscientious and... — read more

Berlin Wall in BofA

I felt there is a wall between management and its associate, we had been waiting for to knock this wall down so all associates will push it together until it fully collapsed, as long as when chance arise, bofa will fall and receive punishment just... — read more

Relocate or quit?

Do they really think that interns who were employed remotely will agree to be relocated after the RTO? It seems to me that they are just looking for ways to get rid of people 'elegantly'. The market is a little better now and I don’t believe anyone... — read more

Everyone is replaceable, but....

I have never experienced BofA replacing someone who left with a better employee. Have you? Replacements are always less productive, slower employees, who care less about both their work and this bank. Instead of a colleague who was a great employee... — read more

Many senior employees leaving?

I had heard that many senior employees in tech have left and that more are planning on leaving. Is rto the only reason why?

I have a question for new hires

Those who've been here for up to a year. Why join? You must have known this place is a mess. You must have known that you'd get no chance of furthering your career. You must have known that pay and benefits are subpar. Thanks to sites like this one... — read more

30 Day Notice?

I got an email telling me to choose a date I’d “like” to return to the office. I chose a date, but I have not received anything further saying I have to be in the office by so and so date. Was that the official notice or is there supposed to be... — read more

BOFA Employee Engagement Survey Results

I got the email about the results of the employee engagement survey. It is the usual propaganda about how the bank rated so high in employee satisfaction and engagement. And people were satisfied about how the bank has handled things in the last... — read more

Did you all receive your RTO invite?

I haven’t uploaded my vax card because I’m very high risk. My manager is under the impression everyone is going back in September. I haven’t received my invite yet - I thought we were all going to be given 30 days notice?

I don't underseand people who want to get cut?

I would be ashamed to even admit it because there are a lot of people who are afraid of getting laid off and they care about keeping the job that pays their bills. It is understandable to me that it is difficult for most to bear the situation... — read more

I'm worried about layoffs

Can we talk about something other than RTO? I understand for some people it's a deal-breaker but there are those of us who don't have any issues with it. I'm much more worried about the possibility of more layoffs sometime soon, something very few... — read more

Question

Is it legal that we are being asked to work in the office because we are vaccinated? The non vaccinated are not being required to work in the office at this time. Is that not a type of discrimination toward the vaccinated?

Required to RTO

I keep hearing the word (volunteer) to return to office. We have no choice. We did right thing by getting vaccinated and letting our employer know via the tool. What if we have children under 12 that can’t be vaccinated yet? We are putting them at... — read more

How do you know?

Just curious, how do some of you seem to know when layoffs are coming? I have been with the bank for many years, new”ish” to this site, and I’m curious. Should I be looking for signs? Please no haters, I just want to know.

End of August

What to expect? Is there any info on how big layoffs could be and what could be the target groups?

Super scared and anxious for RTO

Are they really going to make us all go back to the office with the numbers so high and vaccines failing to stop transmissions? This is criminal!

Bank of America is now the Shlithole of America

I used to be proud to work for Bank of America. I am now very embarrassed to be associated with them. This company has disappointed me in the last year and half on their handling of the pandemic. I thought we had competent and caring management but... — read more

Has anyone heard of leadership introducing a hybrid Model? A friend of mine was in a team meeting with their Project Manager and they said they expected a Hybrid Model for certain groups. Their group dealt with wholesale underwriting.
