AT&T just laid off all of the contractors in my group which is about 90% contractors.

Many of us still in training. Well over 1,000 employees are out of work come May 31st, 2015. ATT is pulling out of Convergys too. Seems they are terminating all outsourced contracts.

They will not allow time between calls for long. Vendor centers make half salary as AT&T owned centers and are performing better than Pueblo Center which is almost last in rankings. All the tell tale signs of closing.

So far 6 engineers laid off

They are laying off in Seattle, Cerritos, and not sure where else. My husband is one of many who received shocking walking papers. They do it in small batches so that it doesn't reach the news or get widely publicized period.

I heard that So Cal might be affected in Q1 2015, also cuts in Seattle and the Bay Area. Again, this is just rumors for now, I hope all will be fine but wanted to share what I heard.

Many managers are pretty much dead weight at AT&T - the culture is bad and we occasionally have layoffs

The executives have no mercy, ATT sees you as head count and that's it.

I really wish they would just go out of business...and never come back.
