Its been four months since the mass layoff. Are individuals still being asked to leave after that event ? Is the re-org still happening as of now ?

Do we have any updates here. I hear rumors, left in 2011 after 7 years with Western Digital.

This is nothing new. Changing crap around - again. Reorg, outsourcing and/or making themselves look good for stockholders so they can crank up the profits for the CEO's. They need more profits - never enough, but our job stability suffers.

What severance options are being offered?

How many employees are going to be layed off in Irvine in January 2015? Will it be just engineers or managers too?

I am sure we'll see some cuts in 2015, nothing concrete to base this on, but I think that we'll need to trim some fat if certain dpts. I think we are fine from the operations side.

Same here, March or April, still working on the re-org plans, so it may take a bit longer. If you are with WD long enough you know that things take time here.
