I was just offered a management role at WD in Irvine. Is it safe?

I have no insider info, this is my gut feeling that both managers and engineers will be affected. We'll see what happens but that's what I think is in store for us when it comes ton 2015 and layoffs. They always like to cut managers due to higher compensation and typically that's always a target. WD has done this before, and will do it again, we'll have to wait and see how things pan out this time around. If you look at the industry now and check out what our peers are doing you will see a bunch of random moves across the board, really we do not see patterns right now - good luck to all and let's wait and see.
