2025 Changes coming to Tech side of WF
For those who are not aware in 2025 the new US administration is being pressured by the tech billionaires to expedite more foreign workers and get rid of more us workers. It has been no secret that the CEO at WF has given two thumbs up to getting rid... — read more
This site's political agenda laid bare, yet again.
Locked the fake news post about a RWNJ celebrity for criticism but kept the headline to push the narrative. Par for the course.

My team is reaching a breaking point
We’ve lost many people this year, while the workload remained the same. No amount of hard work can compensate for so many people being gone, nor for roles that the rest of us simply can't fill. There’s no intention to recruit new workers or... — read more

The language barrier is real and leaves customers frustrated and angry.
This is NOT against Customer Service Reps in India. They are doing their best with ridiculous corporate strategy. It IS against the apathetic heads of companies who expect those in India to adequately resolve U.S. based customer issues. It is a... — read more
LOB Core location exceptions
I was advised by HR to request an exception to stay remote in a non-hub location. Did anyone else realize this was even an option, I’m remote now and have been for nearly a decade. What is the point in making me relocate just to grant me another WFH... — read more

Layoffs tomorrow (12/26)

How considerate of them not to chop heads on Tuesday before Christmas
Maybe they’ll make up for it on New Year’s Eve?

Take your PTO, quit being green when on PTO
When I take PTO, my ar-e is offline and I'm gone. I'm constantly amazed at how many people (managers and non-managers) take PTO and then work all day. Responding to emails, sometimes attending meetings, showing green on Teams all day.........for... — read more

Merry Christmas Eve to the best coworkers ever.
West End Center Winston
If it’s true that most at West End Center will be let go in 2025, anyone have any idea about the timings? 2 waves? Mid year? End of year?
The hardworking reason
If you see bottom engineers work hard, that’s because their pay is close to the upper engineers. As simple as that. Pay push you no one else could. Favoritism in action. Managers put more money on their favorite bottom engineers.
Laid off
Am laid off just now
Why would I stay after office hours?
I’ll get laid off anyway.
Excellent advice
I think banking in general is simply a bad industry to be in these days. While WF's US-based layoffs have been among the worst of all the US banks, all of banking is in decline. Whatever your specialty is, I'd suggest looking for some other industry... — read more

Layoffs
If you’re thinking of dodging layoffs by jumping to a different team, don’t kid yourself. This is basically the Hunger Games, and guess what, the leaderships is the only one who gets out alive. Everyone is getting fired.
