Layoffs and Soup, vs Spagetti and Lasagna.

Remember a year ago when Saul would frequently say "we're making soup" when discussing organizational changes....? According to his discussion during the Global Town Hall today, he's telling us that we now have "spagetti". And now he's saying... — read more

A proposal for a new approach to layoffs

I think WF should consider having employees compete to keep their jobs. Let's say there are 2 jobs of a particular title that need to be eliminated, and 4 people currently occupying that title in a given area. Those 4 people would engage in a... — read more

When are bonuses paid nowadays?

Been looking through the handbook and general searching on Teamworks but can't find when the bonus (incentive) is paid now. I remember being told by my former manager earlier this year that the bonus will be paid out earlier than previous years, but... — read more

Audit

When will the OCC take over Audit? Next year? 2023? If it happens, they’ll take over the Board first. That’s step one. The OCC has to be able to rely on audit’s work but major issues and delays with progress keep popping up. Same people... — read more

Does this make me a bad person?

I'm actually happy there are people who refuse to be vaccinated because that means we get more time away from the office? For as long as the hospitals are getting filled once again, there's no chance WFC will bring us back. And I can't stress enough... — read more

Excessive focus on immaterial risks

Working in the Corporate Risk group, i am seeing that there is an excessive focus on immaterial risks vs understanding true business risk. It seems like all the discussions with senior management is all about copying and pasting what they saw in... — read more

Manager positioning me for Layoff?

Had my mid year review. I was rated as "meets" in EVERY catagory, but my final rating was "inconsistently meets". What's strange is that it's written down - right there in the review - that I do indeed "MEET" every catagory that they ask for. ... — read more

Saul Town Hall

There are supposed to be some announcements on various roles in EIT during Saul's town hall tomorrow. Should be interesting to hear what that entails. Anybody have the deets on this?

WFH - Veterans vs everyone else

An interesting dynamic is taking place right now that I find a little frustrating. For the last two decades those of us who have fought for WFH while under a magnifying glass from super critical old school establishment thinkers. We have worked... — read more

What if...

we started hiring employees based on interview performance and qualifications? For example, we have three main risk groups: 1. Audit, 2. Corp Risk, and 3. Front line risk. Audit has the highest standards for hiring (CPA, CIA, etc) and major churn... — read more

Is there a chance to receive severance?

If they make vaccines mandatory for everybody, is there a way to quit and receive severance? Companies pay severance to make sure employees don't sue them, I don't see why this would be any different? This would solve so many issues for so many... — read more

Masks in Office

Get over it - part 2

Jesus Christ! You have multiple degrees and your job is making calls and taking notes for the executives? And more surprisingly you are making 6 figures? You should just quit I think for the sake of yourself and the firm.

Commercial Banking…

Good people are leaving. To attract people to fill holes the new hires probably are paid more than the existing team. Mid Corp roll out is a secret. Moral is tough. Do people still believe in the business? Is anyone winning?
