When is the next round of layoffs?

Anyone know when the next round of layoffs is happening? The rumor was that Eagan would have 3 rounds of layoffs this year. We've already had one... which means two more before the end of the year?

We work to live. Not live to work.

It would be great if someone could explain to our management that we do not live to work, but that almost all of us work just for the sake of surviving in this society. Will that ever become clear to them??? They act as if everyone should be happy... — read more

Worst mistake ever!

Absolutely no support from my boss and my boss has no idea what I do. Management's mess is put on the backs of employees. Management will scream to clean up their mess. The organization does not "think" about the strategy. My previous jobs I had... — read more

When did you decide it was high time to leave?

I’m not at all happy here, but it’s hard for me to decide to leave because I didn’t get an offer that I could say is much better. A friend who works in one of the competing companies is also not very happy - I mean, it is clear to me that the grass... — read more

Career at TR

How satisfied are you with the growth of your career here? Unfortunately, I only now realize that I have wasted my time here.

The bigger problem is which people are laid off

Do you also think that the bigger problem here than layoffs is that totally wrong people are being laid off? Those who are the best employees, who are the most talented and have the most knowledge, or simply those who should be kept here at all... — read more

People aren't leaving, they are running away

Everyone is tired of working in this uncertainty. My colleagues who have left these days and those who have prioritized looking for a new job, think that there will be layoffs soon. However, given how many people are leaving, I wonder if there will... — read more

"Enterprise Centre"

I happened to see that a certain former CTO at TR, SB, is now Vice Chairman and President of something called the Enterprise Centre at TR. What is the "Enterprise Centre" and what does it do?

Interesting TAP Town hall today

Curious that they are striving to be "open and honest" at this point. Wonder how they expect anyone to believe anything they say when there's literally an article from earlier this year implying there would be no coming layoffs:... — read more

Startling COVD 19 resurgence - Reinstate Voluntary WFH

With the significant increase in COVID cases and new surge in the US, there can be NO reasonable explanation to require staff to report to TR offices until the case count reduces in a significant and sustained manner.

Outsourcing and Use of Contractors

There has been quite a bit of discussion here about TR's moves to using more outsourcing. However, little has been said about whether TR has been engaging former RIF'd employees as contractors. Has this been happening? Thoughts?

Smoke screen & Outsourcing

Comment below reposted from comments on another post. Spot on The single operating company jargon is all FUD. It's just a smoke screen for additional cost-cutting / outsourcing. TR was already a single operating company and the work to integrate... — read more

General question - Moving to 1 operating company

We’ve all heard it on nearly every townhall. My question to you all is how many jobs are going to get axed as they consolidate. We’ve seen it with marketing. But even more can be done. It seems to be happening to sales. Curious what everyone’s... — read more

Vaccine Mandate

Will TR require a mandate and if you don't get one you're fired? Maybe laid off? Could this be an easy way to let people go without paying severance?

Used TR to my advantage

I was planning to retire at 54 and everything was planned. Last steps were to give notice to TR and leave. Then I figured these folks can’t go 12 months without making people redundant , so I will hang on another 12 months and see what happens. Then... — read more

Toxic management in Toronto office

What is going on in the Toronto office: mid-year performance check-ins. Managers are looking extra hard for reasons to downgrade staff in mid-year reviews. They pile on too much work and then they watch close for you to miss something so they can... — read more

Cheap labor

Can cheap labor fix the problems that are accumulating in this company? I'm not sure it can. Even if it works for a while, I don't know what the results of such a strategy will be in the long run. Luckily this is my last week here and I won’t be at... — read more

The job at TR reduced to waiting in uncertainty

Motivation, zero. I can't work hard when I'm constantly thinking about which side the new cuts will come from. No job has ever been absolutely safe and one should always be prepared, but what is happening now at TR creates so much tension and anxiety... — read more

Technology Layoffs disclosed to the public?

I cannot find a single article anywhere that defines the layoffs and the moving of most of the Tax & Accounting technology jobs overseas. Seems like this should be disclosed and documented for shareholders, right? Or is this a poorly kept secret?

Companies that value TR employees

I hope no one minds me pointing out his question in a new thread, but I'm also interested: what are some top companies that value TR employees? Some say that this company no longer has the weight on the resume as it used to.

Moving field positions to inside at hubs

How does TR expect any of its workforce?
