Thread regarding Thomson Reuters layoffs

Change BS Stream

Did anyone else find the SH session on the Change Stream demotivating today? Apparently all of our products are currently horrible and difficult for our sales people to understand and sell, then why are we beating all forecasts for WL and PL? Only the Change steam will save us now. Also, what a great idea for everyone to stretch and do 120%, what genius! Glad Covid and dealing with kids forced back into homeschooling is no longer a concern (it is). It was pretty slick to say we actually increased headcount in 2021, when we fired across US and UK only to hire in low cost countries like India and now Mexico. Not sure if anyone else caught it, but I heard they aren't sure about Costa Rica. Translation, if you work in Costa Rica TR you won't for much longer. I could go on and on about McKinsey, Facebook, Amazon and the Digital/Change experienced know nothing hires, but I better grab a glass of wine and relax.

SM was hired for the TTC in 2017. In 2020, they doubled down and made him Head Engineer. DW was brought on in 2020. What's he done that's positive? Anything? KR joined in 2020. Her big claim to fame is slaughtering jobs just like she did at H_BC. Telling us to stretch 120% this late in the fiscal year? Are they setting the stage to reduce bonus payouts?

Salespeople can’t sell the products. One must really have to think about why.

Could it be that tenured, high-performing salespeople felt they had no choice but to leave because of an insulting compensation plan?

Could it be that the infrastructure that made TR employees the envy of large corporations has been systemically dismantled and deemphasized?

Could it be that SH and his hooligans are stripping this thing for parts and will dump what’s left of the company when they cash out in 2025?

The sales training I received when I began working at TR TAP was insanely good. I didn’t know anything about tax, audit, or the industry. Because of the training and mentoring I received, I have excelled at performing at a number of different roles throughout the company.

Like so many others, I’ve seen the brutality of the cuts from 2018 to the present and made the reasonable choice to take my talents elsewhere. I’m encouraging anyone who can to leave as well. For the rest that are stuck for various strategic reasons, you deserve better. Keep your heads high and do the right things you always do until better options await.

Hasker is a piece of ex------t and only cares about stock price.

And the products are horrible, piles of sh-t.

Sooner or later it will all come crumbling down, do yourself a favor and get the he-l out of there.
