What happens to your computer? Does it lock you out? What does it say if you turn it on and log in?

@at Really, you can't set an out-of-office message within 2 hours? Sounds like management made the right choice then.

It starts acting funky the day of the layoff. For example, Copilot (not that I ever really found it useful) starts spinning without returning any answers. Everything’s sluggish. Then, you go into “the meeting.” You’re asked to return your computer ASAP, but they drag their feet shipping the return box to you. All-in-all, it’s not that bad because you’re done before noon, and you no longer have to pretend that management has any clue.
If it is powered off/off-net when it all goes down nothing. Can log in for days/weeks/months as long as it never connects to a network. But why would you want to? Anything you want you should be pulling off constantly.
Within 2 - 2.5 hours your access to anything but a dialed-down version of Workday will be removed, including mobile (BYOD phones/tablets). I didn't have time to craft a goodbye email nor leave a snarky Out of Office auto-response.
you have a very short time of maybe 2 hrs but that can vary. They do have a ki-l switch if necessary for a more immediate access revoke.
I would have a draft "I'm gone" email ready to send to your colleagues that includes non work contact information. In addition I would ensure I have contact information for anyone who could be a reference on a future job or just a good networking contact. Do that ahead of time so you're not trying to think of everyone in a hurried emotionally wracked time.
Your ability to print and send external emails will be gone earlier in the morning before your displacement meeting. If you updated your resume on your work computer be sure to have a copy on your computer.

make a list or rather start collecting whatever you want for when you are displaced.
You have 2 hours (+/- ?) before access is shut off.

It will immediately throw up a pop up stating you are accessing an unauthorized system. The agent running will send your ip to cybersecurity team and they will send that data to the feds.
Your going to get a visit.
It implodes.
It will turn on but will not let you log in
