Things changed dramatically after my last manager was laid off and the new one came in. The constant criticism, micromanagement, and obvious favoritism have made the job exhausting. I'm actually finding myself hoping my position gets eliminated because leaving with severance sounds better than continuing like this. That's how bad it's gotten.

@ef Daily Stand Up. I suspect.
@ew not to laugh but my goodness it has to be the same person I’m thinking of not it’s sad this company has multiple aholes like this
@ec
The person who put them there didn't like competition.
@ef "Daily Stand Up". Usually a quick, morning check-in on in-progress work items. Very granular. Senior leaders being there is a red flag (a sign of micro-managing, rushing or shifting priorities or deadline, poorly defined work, not trusting process, teams and individuals, etc.)
@c5 sorry what is DSU?
@cx I still can’t wrap my head around MG being a director.
I want to know what area too.
DDAT is too big at this point. There are people who are Directors that ruin their staffs careers out of fear and jealousy. Seen it first hand. MP.DM.MG.RI.MM
DDAT Developer promoted to Director.
I’m in ddat my dir joins every DSU.
Not OP but finance has a bad case of it. I'm hoping to be laid off but I suspect they are trying to avoid paying out.
Can we say names? Initials? Area?
He literally put tracking software on people. Not only that’s he gets notifications when you’re in Away so he will IM you a message pertaining to nothing.
Yes very familiar. It’s out of control. I already anticipate a sh-t$y increase because it’s all gonna go to the favorites.
Sounds VERY familiar, especially the micro-management and favoritism.
