Normally, you do not see this in the Call center environment because of the natural turnover people eventually quit but this week they fired a bunch of people, including a supervisor. We were once great company when we were DST. It’s now a sh-t business that doesn’t care about it’s people

For the last number of years they haven’t cared about people. I hear big layoffs coming, the end of the month. They are hoping that AI will replace people.
Everyone else in the world is slowing down what they do with AI it’s all on the news. They don’t realize that eventually their stock price will still be cr-p, as people will have no jobs and can’t invest, or buy houses, cars or even groceries. Trickle down effect.
The aim of the game for SS&C UK is cost cutting and offloading everything to India/Thailand (make savings, pay dividends, increase share price, buy a competitor - and do the same there)
If your role can be done remotely, it’s just a matter of time before AI/automation or offshoring eliminates you.
