What are you making of this statement from Takis? I was initially expecting an other round of two of layoffs in October/November. Wasn’t sure what to expect now in light of his statements.

@123 is that normal to give dates of future layoffs to people they laid off? When are the other dates? Don’t they need to file warn notices? Layoffs are already bad, but doing it a week before Thanksgiving and a week before Christmas is absolutely evil.
More are coming, those laid off got papers saying dates.
@OP I wish they would take volunteers. If I got the severance, I would totally do it. I’m sure there are many that would and they could leave the other people alone. But I guess that takes the evil out of the whole thing so what fun would that be for them.
Long time OFD here. I can tell you they will lie straight to your face. We had a round of layoffs right before Thanksgiving one year. FB and his minions were in town and someone asked them anymore layoffs before the end of the year. Answer was "No more layoffs this year!" A week before Christmas they had a huge layoff. So glad I got away from OFD. Good luck to all.
I liked that Takis laughed when he immediately brought up that there is no job security in corporate America. Which is exactly the problem...

He's just trying to get your hopes up. It is more enjoyable (for him) to see your face when he surprises you with a layoff. It just isn't the same if you are expecting it.
People were packing and leaving as he was talking.
They ALL say that sh-t all the time. Wake up.

I'd say there will be more as they finalize the payroll numbers for 2027 to may sure they trimmed enough.
