What is the reason to move our pay to bi-monthly?

Also gives management more flexibility when they have to lay people off. Twice as many “end of the pay period” opportunities to let people go.
I'm happy about it! I hated when we switched to monthly!
It's not every two weeks, it's twice a month....so there will be no "extra" check two months out of the year.
I'd assume commissions like bonuses will be paid in their normal cadence
I’m assuming salary every 2 weeks and commission once a month.
Will this be regular pay or commission only?
Some US states have laws that mandate twice / month payments. This way HR is not dealing with exceptions based on state.
